Embedded Projects that we did

  1. Remote Monitoring Unit (RMU):

    Monitoring of potential and AC interface voltages across the cross-country pipelines using Intelligent Remote Monitoring Unit (RMU) and hand held PDA device. RMU also measures Off Potential with GPS time synchronized Current Interruption Unit with logging interval ranging from 1 reading per sec to 1 reading per 24 hours. RMU also monitors Transformer Rectifier’s (TR) Output Voltage, Current and pipe to soil potential of entire plant at the central station. Notification of Alarm generated to the central station. RMU has web based monitoring option to view the plant pipeline status by logging to the Internet from any location at any time.

  2. Remote Monitoring of Flow Computers:

    Remote Terminal Unit GSM (SMS) based monitoring of flow computer parameters at the central station. It has Data logging feature. It supports standard Modbus RTU and ASCII protocol to directly interface with the flow computers. It has web based monitoring to view the flow computers data from by logging to the Internet from any place at any time.

  3. Vehicle Tracking System (VTS):

    Vehicle Terminal Unit (VTU) interface with GPS and GSM modem. It processes parameters received from GPS (i.e. Longitude, Latitude, Velocity, time etc. ) and synchronize the GPS time with RTC time. It sends the location information as per the logging interval, at the time of events (i.e. Trip start, stoppage arrival, departure from stoppage, over speed, restricted zone entry, halt exceed, time exceed between two stoppage, trip end etc.). It also sends the alarm messages to the concern authority at the time of critical events (i.e. over speed, late arrival, early departure, halt exceed). 10000 way points, Trip information, Trip schedule is remotely configured to the VTU. It also save vehicle log during network not available. It has inbuilt auto search facility when temporary divert from the trip route.

  4. Intelligent Remote Terminal Unit (iRTU) :

    The iRTU is a powerful LPC2378 (ARM7TDMI) based intelligent Remote Terminal Unit PLC that provides the interface hardware and software between a SCADA computer and the field devices. Each iRTU is a unique blend of rugged industrial I/O, real-time multi-tasking software and powerful communication capabilities. iRTU checks all the input parameters for healthy conditions of the pumping station and switches ON pump(s) according to schedule(s) or Manually. It runs in safety interlocks (any fault condition like SPP trip, actuator fault, OL trip, actuator Open/Close fault etc.) iRTU periodically & incase of event (pump trip) sends all data to data logger application at remote PC by SMS. It also sends Alarm message to mobile nos. which are enabled. It has a provision of equal run hour for all pumps.

  5. Computerized Test Station Unit (CTSU)-GPS based:

    Computerized Test Station Units (CTSUs) are stand-alone, real time data acquisition and storage units designed specifically for logging of CP (Cathodic Protection) parameters for cross-country pipelines and plant pipelines. Primarily unmanned in nature, computerized performance analysis of the CP System for cross-country pipelines has acquired mandatory status in today's O&G transportation sector. CTSU has very low power consumption. CTSU has inbuilt standby mode, where it will wake up at log frequency and after getting field parameters it will go into standby mode again. So, in this way it saves lot of battery power. We can configure logging and other parameters from remote locations. Logging frequency can be configured from several times every second to once a year. Multiple communication modes such as wired, telephone, GSM using cellular network and VHF/UHF based Radio network. Portable handheld reader units facilitate collection of data from remotely mounted Computerized Test Station Units. These units are especially useful in situation where normal modes of communications are either not available or are economically not viable. Each reader can accommodate data from several test stations and once the unit is back at the base station it can download the entire data to a computer for further analysis and visualization using the software provided with the unit. The reader unit is battery operated and does not require any external power to operate while in the field. For Plant pipelines CTSU are time synchronized with GPS for synchronization of interruption cycle for ICCP (Impressed Current Cathodic Protection).

  6. PC Based Programmable and Logic Control (PCBPLC):

    The PCBPLC refers to the PC Based Programming and Logic Control system that facilitates generation of control logic using most intuitive flow chart programming language. The control logic is based on vital concept language such as Decision Blocks and Action Blocks that allow taking appropriate actions based on certain criteria defined by a User. It provides a complete controlling environment that allows project management, controlling logic testing, simulation of actual plant conditions, logic debugging using graphical user interface and recipe management.

  7. AUTOMATIC STREET LIGHT CONTROLLER (ASLC):

    Automatic Street Light Controller (ASLC) switches ON the street lights according to SUNSET time and switches OFF the street lights according to SUNRISE time. SUNSET & SUNRISE times are calculated according to the longitude and latitude of the location. The ASLC staggers the street light at midnight and staggers off at early morning which is programmable. In specific case ASLC switches energy saver transformer to low energy during midnight period. ASLC also taking care of programmable festival periods during which no staggering required. ASLC also monitors all phase voltages and currents, and isolates the phase if over voltage, under voltage or over current occurs. The limit of over voltage, under voltage and over current is programmable. PC application remotely monitors status of the phase voltages, phase currents, switching times, output status etc. and also changes the parameters as well as controls output remotely by GSM wireless communication using SMS.

  8. AUTOMATIC AC CYCLIC UNIT:

    The AAC unit monitors and controls the temperature of the telephone exchange zone by controlling the switching of the 6-8 nos. of AC in different modes of operation. The temperature range is programmable by selecting min. temperature and max. temperature. The AAC unit also monitors the generator status & inverter battery status. In case of power failure the AAC unit switches over to the generator. In case of generator power failure it switches over to the inverter. The master AAC unit at main office of the exchange monitors all zone AAC units. PC software can remotely monitor, configure the parameters and control the system. The master AAC unit has RS-485 connectivity to communicate with the AAC units and modem connectivity to communicate with remote PC.

  9. POS (Point Of Sale) Application:

    SchlumbergerSema MagicX1000 DECT POS Terminal for F&B application for R.C.G.C. club sponsored by CITI Bank. Whole application is divided into 4 types of applications working simultaneously.

    • KOP application
    • Database
    When any member of the club swipes his CITI Bank Debit/Credit card to the POS terminal, card is verified by the data transfer & database application and takes the order from the member and credit from his account. KOP application prints the order in the kitchen and/or bar according to the item. POS locally prints the order.

  10. INTEGRATED ACCESS CONTROL & MAN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IACMMS):

    IACMMS project - to provide security and access control at five nos. of Gates, Ten nos. of Blocks & Vidhan sabha. Each gate has 4 nos. of RF smart card readers, 2 nos. of long range RFID readers and 4 nos. of boom barriers, each block has 10 nos. of RF smart card readers, 4 nos. of half height turnstyles, 1 EM lock for entry/exit control. Readers are equipped with TCP/IP connectivity to communicate with SERVER. The System monitors the access of the visitors and employees and controls the unauthorized access. Employees are issued an ID card (RFID) where as visitors are issued paper pass with PIN no for verification. Access is controlled on the basses of ID card and PIN no of the paper pass. The system gives an access to the employees and visitors and stamps IN/OUT time. The employees and visitors are given access to the particular blocks and vidhan sabha by programming their access to the readers. All readers are programmable by server. Vehicle access is also controlled by RF ID Tags on the vehicle. As the Vehicle approaches near the reader, its identity is authenticated and gives the control signal to the boom barrier and boom barrier opens and gives access to the vehicle.

  11. Time Attendance and Access Control System:

    Time Attendance and Access Control System is Smart Card based system. It can take 500 people attendance and stores up to 10000 records. It gives 24 hours battery back up. Smart Card issued to each employee or member of the firm stores employee name, its personal details, ID no, last record, no or attendance of the month etc. When an employee or member swipes his/her card on the reader, the reader verifies his/her identity and gives access to the premises and stores entry/exit time. Reader is connected with the PC application by RS232 line. PC application periodically request the reader for the data.
